Gyan Capital Management

Gyan Capital Management Ltd (“Gyan”), is regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius and holds a Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) Manager license.

Gyan currently acts as the appointed Fund Manager (IM) of M/s Aviator Global Investment Fund (“AGIF”), an Expert Fund established under the Securities (Collective Investment Schemes and Closed-ended Funds) Regulations of 2008, issued under the Securities Act of 2005 of Mauritius. AGIF is also regulated by the FSC and holds a FPI Category I license as per SEBI (Securities Exchange Board of India) Regulations.

Gyan can be characterized as a PIPE – Private Investment in Public Equity – referring to the practice of Mutual funds and other large institutional investors to strike long term deals to buy stocks at a preferred price and as PE Investment Advisory Boutique. Gyan explores opportunities for possible investment into High Growing (Emerging) Markets, with the aim to deliver capital growth.

With a team of directors and professional consultants having a broad experience and a blend of qualified chartered accountants, business administration, data analytics and equity research experienced personnel, Gyan is perfectly organized to continue to be successful in the Alternative Investment space. The team has diverse experience in different industries and financial markets across all regions.

Board Members

Yaj, holds an LLB (Hons) in Business Law from the University of Huddersfield. Yaj carries a comprehensive number of years’ experience within the commercial and corporate sector. Yaj has previously worked as a manager within the Recovery and Reorganization Department at Grant Thornton (UK) LLP. This follows more than 10 years of experience working as an Insolvency Practitioner in Mauritius. Yaj has also held the post of In-House Lawyer / Trust & Corporate Manager for a group based out of London. Since 2009, Yaj is the CEO of an asset management companies licensed by the Mauritius FSC. He also acts as a consultant to a Singaporean based Fund Manager. Yaj is a member of STEP and the Institute of Directors, London, and is resident in Mauritius.

Mr Eddy Tong Sam is a practicing barrister in Mauritius and is also a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He also holds a MSc, MBCS degree in Information Technology, is an Accredited Mediator (SPC, UK), and a part time Lecturer at the University of Mauritius. He is a director of Fidelis Trust & Corporate Services Limited, a global management company licensed by the Mauritius FSC and sits on the board of various Protected Cell Companies (Segregated Portfolio Companies) and Asset Management Companies. His areas of expertise are Corporate Law, Property Development Services, Mediation and Information Technology Legal Services.
